The Safe Changes Toolkit is a 114 pages practical resource designed to support youth workers, educators, and community leaders in delivering engaging training sessions on key topics such as cybersecurity, internet addiction, online social risks, and information trustworthiness. Developed collaboratively by eight organizations across five countries, the toolkit includes ready-to-use activities, storytelling templates, and guidance for facilitating group work, making it a valuable tool for promoting safe and informed digital practices among young people.
The SAFE CHANGES Toolkit is designed as a practical, youth-centered resource that supports facilitators, educators, and youth workers in delivering participatory training across four thematic modules: Cybersecurity, Internet Addiction, Social Risks, and Information Trustworthiness.
Each module in the SAFE CHANGES Toolkit is organized into thematic topics, each beginning with a short introductory explanation. This is followed by a selection of stories and references to free e-books and online resources to help facilitators and participants explore the subject in more depth.
Each topic includes a set of ready-to-use activities that can be implemented directly in class. These activities are designed to be adaptable in both content and format for different age groups and learning needs. Facilitators are encouraged to assess the specific needs, age range, and cultural background of their group and to prepare materials that are linguistically and culturally appropriate for their context.
At the end of the project, this website will include examples of how the activities were adapted by different organizations, to support further implementation in diverse settings.
